Every brand has a beginning.

And for SZBLOOMS, everything started with a flower called Magnolia...

Introducing The Flor Blooms, the very first original flower series by SZBLOOMS that slowly became one of the collections that built the brand into what it is today. More than just a tableware collection, Flor Blooms carries personal memories, emotions, and the founder's love for flowers, design, and meaningful dining experiences.

The inspiration first came from Magnolia, a flower that has always been close to the founder's heart. She especially loved the Magnolia designs from Portmeirion, one of the most famous floral tableware collections known by collectors and tablescape lovers.

But instead of creating something expensive and unreachable, she wanted to create something more affordable, practical, and easier for everyone to enjoy while still keeping the elegant floral feeling.

And surprisingly, that idea became something much bigger than expected.

What makes Magnolia even more special is how every colour carries a different identity. Some of the varieties include Magnolia Soulangeana in pink tones, Magnolia Vulcan in deep red, and Magnolia Acuminata, known for its unique bluish tones.

To the founder, magnolia flowers feel soft, timeless, and full of character. Exactly the feeling she wanted people to experience through The Flor Blooms collection.

When the collection was first launched, the response was overwhelming.

The sale was originally opened for 10 hours, but the collection sold out in only 2 hours. Until today, thousands of Flor Blooms pieces have already found homes with customers all round Malaysia.

One thing that makes this collection even more meaningful is the name itself.

The word "Bloom" came from the idea of blooming, the symbolizing growth, beginnings, and how SZBLOOMS slowly grew into a brand loved by many people today.

Meanwhile, the word "Flor" was inspired by Portuguese influence. Since SZBLOOMS also carries collections from Bordallo Pinheiro, a well-known brand from Portugal, the founder became inspired by Bordallo's collection called Maria Flor.

That inspiration became the name:

THE FLOR BLOOMS

And this is only the beginning.

The Flor Blooms was never meant to stay as just one design. It was created to become a growing flower series under SZBLOOMS. In fact, a new pink Flor Blooms collections is already in progress and will be launched in the future.

The series will continue expending with more flowers, more colours, and more stories to tell.

Another thing that made people admire the launch was how brave the founder was with her first release. Instead of launching only one item, she introduced The Flor Blooms as full set collection from the beginning, showing her confidence and strong vision for the brand.

Even today, if you turn the plates around, you can still find the special stamping that says:

A small detail, but one that became part of SZBLOOMS history.

For the founder, The Flor Blooms is not only about flowers or plates.

It is about feelings.

It reminds her of the cherry blossom trees she once saw back in 2014 (Cherry Blossom Story). Soft, beautiful, calming, and unforgettable. That same feeling later became part of the collection's identity.
